Hyderabad Tyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival (HTAMF) will enter its 11th edition in January 2026, marking a major milestone in its journey as one of the world’s largest Tyagaraja Aradhana celebrations. The festival will be held at CCRT and Shilparamam, Hitec City, Hyderabad, from January 19 to January 25. The event is initiated and organised by Sanskriti Foundation, a Hyderabad-based non-profit organisation, and is entirely volunteer-driven.
Since its humble beginnings, HTAMF has grown into the most sought-after Carnatic music festival in Hyderabad, drawing thousands of attendees and tens of thousands of global viewers through social media live streams. Over the years, the festival has earned recognition for its scale, discipline and dedication to preserving the legacy of Saint Tyagaraja.
The seven-day festival will feature evening concerts on all days, with more than 30 performances by accomplished vocalists and instrumentalists. A key highlight of HTAMF 2026 will be the Pancharatna Seva, scheduled on Sunday, January 25, at 9 a.m. at the Sampradaya Vedika, Shilparamam. This signature event will be conducted in a hybrid format, with artists performing at the venue and hundreds of musicians from across the world participating online.
As part of the Gurusanmanam tradition, Sanskriti Foundation will felicitate eminent musicians Vidwan Komanduri Seshadri, Vidwan Nemani Somayajulu and Vidushi Manda Sudharani for their contribution to Carnatic music. In previous editions, the festival has honoured several legendary musicians, including Annavarapu Ramaswamy, Yella Venkateshwara Rao, Akella Mallikarjuna Sarma, the Hyderabad Sisters, the Hyderabad Brothers and violin maestro Avasarala Kanyakumari, among others.
The sixth day of the festival will feature student-teacher community concerts, offering young and promising artists an opportunity to perform. During the Pancharatna Seva, over 1,000 artists from the twin cities will render Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis in unison, accompanied by vocal and instrumental performances. The event will also include Abhishekam to the Utsava Murthy of Sitaramalakshman Hanuman Tyagaraja and a live painting by renowned artist Kuchi Garu.
Organisers said HTAMF continues to expand its global reach through live streaming, print and electronic media, radio, and digital platforms, carrying forward Saint Tyagaraja’s musical and spiritual legacy to future generations.
