Medicover Woman & Child Hospitals, Hitech City, celebrates a historic moment in Indian neonatal care with the successful discharge of a baby girl born at just 23 weeks of gestation.

Delivered on April 18, 2025, weighing only 565 grams, the premature infant was admitted to the NICU and underwent an intensive 115-day treatment journey. Her care involved invasive ventilation, 78 days of respiratory support (Bubble CPAP and HFNC), treatment for infections, blood transfusions, and close monitoring of vital organ development. A heart condition (PDA) was managed medically, and by day 15, she achieved full feed.

On August 11, 2025, she was discharged in stable condition, weighing 2 kg and free of major complications — a near-miraculous survival for such an early preterm baby.

Dr. Ravinder Reddy Parige, Chief Neonatologist, praised the coordinated team effort and advanced care protocols. Dr. Radhika, Consultant Obstetrician, highlighted the critical role of early maternal intervention.
