The previous govt, saying the sarees it distributed were not even fit to be used as scarecrows in fields, whereas under the people’s government, quality sarees with a bindi are being respectfully delivered to every woman’s household
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the government will increase wealth in the state and distribute it equitably, and firmly declared that vultures, hawks, and predators will not be allowed anywhere near the state. Addressing a public meeting held after inauguration of various development programs at Chinthakani mandal, Madhira constituency of Khammam district on Monday, Bhatti Vikramarka said that with the objective of empowering women and shaping them into “queens,” the government is today extending Rs 5,000 crore in interest-free loans to women’s self-help group members across municipalities in the state.
He recalled that when the government announced the goal of making one crore women into millionaires by distributing Rs 20,000 crore in interest-free loans in the first year, it was mocked. However, the government exceeded its target and distributed Rs 26,000 crore in interest-free loans. The Deputy Chief Minister urged beneficiaries to complete Indiramma houses quickly, stating that bills are being sanctioned every week.
Keeping in mind that Telangana is an agriculture-based state, Rs 74,163 crore is being directly transferred to farmers through schemes such as Rythu Bharosa, bonus for fine paddy, and 24-hour free electricity, he said. To enable women to live with self-respect and move forward with confidence, free RTC bus travel has been provided. Towards this, the government has so far paid Rs 7,000 crore to RTC on behalf of women, he said.
Bhatti Vikramarka criticised the previous government, saying the sarees it distributed were not even fit to be used as scarecrows in fields, whereas under the people’s government, quality sarees with a bindi are being respectfully delivered to every woman’s household.
