The BJP will launch its two-day "Singareni Bharosa Yatra" on Monday and Tuesday across the Singareni coal belt, projecting the Centre's allocation of the Tadicherla-2 coal block to the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) without an auction as a major achievement for the coal miner and its workforce.

According to the BJP, the allotment of the Tadicherla-2 block has brought cheer among Singareni workers, who had earlier welcomed the allocation of the Naini coal block. The party said the latest allocation provides Singareni with a 30-year assurance of coal reserves, is expected to generate nearly Rs.64,000 crore in revenue and create around 1,200 jobs.  It also stated that the transfer without an auction would financially benefit the Telangana government.

The BJP claimed that Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy played a crucial role in securing both the Naini and Tadicherla-2 coal blocks by convincing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve the allocation. The party said while the UPA government neglected Singareni, the Modi government had ushered in a new phase of growth for the company. It also said the allocation assumes significance as Singareni has liabilities exceeding Rs.54,000 crore, describing the Centre's decision as a reassurance to the organisation and its employees. Kishan Reddy has also reiterated that he would continue to work for the welfare of Singareni.

The BJP said the yatra is intended to explain what the Central government has done and plans to do for Singareni, while directly interacting with workers and addressing their concerns. The party will also target the BRS and Congress governments over what it described as their failure to resolve the issues of Singareni workers. It said the primary objective is to understand workers' grievances first-hand and assure them of the Centre's continued support.

The yatra will cover Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Peddapalli and Mancherial districts. Three large public meetings, five gate meetings at coal mines, worker interactions and special meetings have been planned. The BJP leadership said the campaign is being organised on a large scale with the participation of MPs, MLAs, MLCs, state and district leaders, and party workers. It said the programme is aimed at instilling confidence among Singareni's nearly 41,000 permanent employees and around 30,000 contract and outsourcing workers.

As per the schedule, the BJP delegation led by Kishan Reddy will leave Hyderabad at 6 am on Monday and reach Kothagudem at 10 am for a hall meeting until noon. The team will then travel to Manuguru at 1 pm, visit the PK OC-2 mine and hold a gate meeting with workers before proceeding to Bhupalpally for a hall meeting at 6 pm and an overnight stay. On Tuesday, the delegation will visit the KTK-8 mine at 7 am for an interaction with workers, inspect the Tadicherla-2 coal block at 9 am, and later travel to Ramagundam to meet workers at the GDK-OC mine in Godavarikhani.

The team will then visit the Mandamarri and Srirampur mines before attending a hall meeting at Kaithanpalli in Chennur constituency at 3.15 pm. The two-day tour will conclude with the delegation returning to Hyderabad at around 8 pm. Throughout the visit, BJP leaders will conduct three public meetings and five gate meetings at coal mines while interacting directly with workers across the four districts.
