CMs Chandrababu, Revanth trying to get more investments to respective states

What construed to be a good gesture, exhibition of cordial relations, Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, their Cabinet colleagues, officials of their respective teams have demonstrated that they have healthy competition as far as attracting huge investments to the two Telugu States.

Both the CMs along with their Key team members met and exchanged pleasantries. Gone those days of Telugu states CMs not even on talking terms with each other.On their arrival, both the CMs have got down to the business and held several round of meetings with all the concerned, from Indian Ambassador to Business, trade captains.

Revanth makes strong pitch for global investments 

Revanth Reddy, leading a high-level delegation, arrived in Zurich on Monday to participate in the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) annual conference at Davos. The delegation received a warm welcome from the Telangana diaspora at Zurich Airport, setting the stage for their mission to position Telangana as a premier international investment destination.

Accompanying the TG Chief Minister were State IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and senior officials from the Industries Department. The delegation aims to attract global industrial giants to Telangana by showcasing the state’s robust infrastructure, pro-investment policies, and unparalleled growth opportunities.

On the first day of the conference, CM Revanth Reddy scheduled to meet with several global business leaders and representatives of multinational corporations. The discussions will focus on promoting Telangana’s investment-friendly environment, highlighting sectors such as IT, manufacturing, life sciences, and green energy.

The Chief Minister’s delegation has devised a targeted plan to emphasize Telangana’s economic potential, innovative governance, and commitment to sustainable development. "Telangana is ready to partner with the world’s leading enterprises to create transformative opportunities and drive growth,” CM Reddy said.

En route to the WEF venue, CM Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu traveled by train, a moment captured in photographs by their team, adding a personal touch to their global outreach.

Chandrababu addresses impactful meetings

Chandrababu Naidu began his official visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit on a high note, engaging in a series of impactful meetings with global investors and business leaders in Zurich, on Monday. The visit underscores Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to becoming a premier investment destination, showcasing its potential for innovation, technology, and sustainable development.

Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by ministers Nara Lokesh and T.G. Bharat, along with senior government officials, arrived at Zurich Airport earlier today. The delegation received a warm welcome from members of the Europe TDP Forum and representatives of the Indian diaspora. The enthusiastic reception highlighted the diaspora’s support for the Chief Minister’s developmental vision for Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister’s engagements began shortly after his arrival, with back-to-back meetings aimed at attracting investments and forging partnerships. These discussions focused on positioning Andhra Pradesh as a hub for industries, technology, and green energy.

In his first formal meeting, CM Naidu met with Mridul Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Switzerland, in Zurich. The two leaders discussed ways to bolster Swiss investments in Andhra Pradesh, with Ambassador Kumar emphasizing the strong presence of over 350 Swiss companies in India, including global giants like Nestlé, ABB, and Novartis.

Chief Minister Naidu outlined Andhra Pradesh’s strengths in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, technical textiles, and rail components manufacturing, urging Swiss companies to explore the state’s business-friendly environment. He also proposed collaborations between Swiss universities and Andhra Pradesh’s emerging Skill and Artificial Intelligence universities to foster innovation and talent development.

Facilitated by Ambassador Kumar, CM Naidu held detailed discussions with top executives from four leading Swiss companies Raoul Keller, Secretary General, Swissmem; Markus Tacke, CEO, Oerlikon; Erich Schmid, CEO, Angst + Pfister; Jörn van der Krone, Head of Economics and External Affairs, Swiss Textiles.

The focus of these discussions was on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, leveraging the state’s skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and forward-looking policies. CM Naidu extended a formal invitation to these companies to establish their operations in Andhra Pradesh, highlighting incentives offered by both the state and central governments.

During the meetings, CM Naidu presented a comprehensive roadmap for potential investments, including setting up advanced research and development centers, establishing innovation hubs and incubators, collaborating on advanced manufacturing sectors, such as aerospace, automotive, and green energy, and developing contract manufacturing and skill development programs in the textiles sector.

Later in the day, CM Naidu participated in a Meet and Greet event with members of the Telugu community in Zurich. The event provided an opportunity for the Chief Minister to connect with the diaspora, share his government’s vision for Andhra Pradesh, and encourage their involvement in the state’s progress. He highlighted the achievements of his administration and invited the diaspora to contribute to the state’s development.
