The demand to make Minister Nara Lokesh the Deputy Chief Minister of AP is gaining momentum day by day in the Telugu Desam Party. It is known that TDP Politburo member R Srinivasulu Reddy had demanded that Lokesh be made the Deputy CM on Saturday. The list of those supporting this proposal has increased further.
Former Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, TDP official spokespersons Syed Rafi and former MLA SVSN Verma have also demanded that Lokesh be given the post of Deputy Chief Minister. TDP leaders said that Lokesh is 100 percent eligible for the post and has proven his leadership qualities through the Yuvagalam Padayatra.
However, the TDP High Command has put a stop to the campaign being carried out by the party leaders to make Lokesh the Deputy CM. The party central office has called the TDP official representatives asking them not to speak on this issue. The high command has issued instructions to the leaders not to speak in front of the media on unnecessary issues. The TDP high command has stated that the leaders of the alliance parties will sit down and talk about any issue.
The TDP high command has also expressed strong objection to some people speaking out of personal opinions. The central office made a call to the TDP official representatives on Monday and made it very clear. The TDP high command has taken these measures as TDP leaders have been making successive requests to make Lokesh the Deputy CM for the last three days.
