CCT to hold ‘Threads of Hope Bazaar’ for fire accident victims

In a bid to support artisans whose livelihoods were disrupted by the devastating fire at Dastkar Nature Bazaar in New Delhi, the Crafts Council of Telangana (CCT) is organizing a two-day exhibition, ‘Threads of Hope Bazaar’, at CCT Spaces, MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, on July 31 and August 1. The bazaar will feature 26 artisan groups and enterprises impacted by the tragedy.  Visitors will be able to explore a wide range of handcrafted products, including silk carpets, cushion covers, Ajrakh and Bagru block prints, Banarasi sarees, dupattas and stoles, Chikankari textiles, Pashmina shawls, bamboo and cane products and upcycled lifestyle accessories. 

The participating artisans represent craft traditions from various parts of the country. Each purchase will contribute towards helping these communities restore their livelihoods after the unexpected loss. The bazaar will also highlight sustainable practices, women-led enterprises, and artisan-driven businesses that combine traditional skills with contemporary designs. It will be open from 10 am to 7 pm on both days.
