Central Bank of India receives Rajbhasha Kirti Award

Metro India News | Hyderabad : The Central Bank of India was conferred the ‘First Rajbhasha Kirti Award’ for its outstanding implementation of Official Language Hindi at the All India Rajbhasha Conference organized by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, in Navi Mumbai on 14-15 September 2026. During the conference, the Rajbhasha Shield, presented as the first prize, was received by the Bank's Managing Director & CEO, Kalyan Kumar, from the Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sumitra Panwar.

On this occasion, a special 'heritage edition' of the bank's bilingual in-house magazine, 'Centralite', published to commemorate the completion of 100 years of the magazine, was released by the  Ministers of State for Official Language, Nityanand Rai, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Secretary, Department of Official Language Anshuli Arya. The Bank also set up a special exhibition showcasing its glorious journey of 115 years. The exhibition presented the Bank's heritage, innovation initiatives, achievements in the field of Official Language and its development journey through various models and presentations.
