Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform Kuppam into a model constituency by promoting sustainable living, strengthening healthcare infrastructure, attracting large-scale investments and accelerating development projects during the second day of his three-day tour of the constituency. Visiting Nalagampalli village, the Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of the Net Zero model, which integrates rooftop solar panels, induction cooktops, rainwater harvesting, kitchen composting, terrace gardening and eco-friendly waste management.

Calling the village a model for the entire state, he directed officials to replicate the initiative across Kuppam. He also advocated the adoption of electric vehicles and circular economy practices at the village level, saying sustainable development must become the foundation of future governance. Officials informed him that the rooftop solar program would benefit thousands of SC, ST, BC and OC households by reducing electricity costs while promoting clean energy.

At the Kuppam Area Hospital, Naidu inaugurated new CT Scan and Dialysis Centres and reviewed the implementation of the Sanjeevani healthcare program. Stressing that digitalization alone is insufficient, he said data integration is essential for efficient healthcare delivery and instructed officials to integrate patient health records across the system. He also directed authorities to improve hospital cleanliness and sought detailed reports on the impact of the Sanjeevani initiative.

During his visit, he instructed police to intensify action against drugs and ganja while appreciating healthcare innovations showcased by students. Later, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Rs 118-crore modern APSRTC bus station and depot, describing it as the beginning of “Swarna Kuppam.” Addressing a public meeting, he announced that projects worth Rs 9,322 crore, including industrial investments, inaugurations and MoUs,

would generate nearly 80,000 direct and indirect jobs. He highlighted investments in footwear, aviation, dairy, food processing and poultry sectors, while expressing confidence that Kuppam would emerge as a major employment hub. Naidu also outlined plans to explore gold reserves, expand dairy production, strengthen skill development, promote solar-powered households, develop tourism projects and upgrade temple infrastructure.
