-   Two New Welfare Schemes launched

-   Indiramma Yojana and Revanthanna Ka Sahara Schemes Rolled Out for Telangana Minorities

The Telangana government has announced two new welfare schemes for minorities, in line with its commitment to inclusive growth and social justice. Minister for SC, ST, Minority, Disabled, Senior Citizens and Transgender Welfare, Adluri Laxman Kumar, formally launched the schemes at the Secretariat on Friday.

The new initiatives are titled “Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana” and “Revanthanna Ka Sahara – for the Needy.” A dedicated online registration portal has been set up, with applications open from September 19 to October 6, 2025. The Minister urged minority families to take full advantage of these opportunities.

Under the Indiramma Yojana, widows, divorcees, orphans and unmarried women will receive ₹50,000 financial assistance to start small businesses and move towards self-employment. The Revanthanna Ka Sahara scheme will benefit members of Fakir and Dudekula communities, who will be provided moped vehicles with a grant of ₹1 lakh each.

Speaking on the occasion, Adluri Laxman Kumar said the schemes are designed to raise living standards and provide economic security to poor families. He noted that the government has already earmarked ₹30 crore for these two programs, which stand as testimony to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision and commitment to minority welfare.

The Minister stressed that the aim is not just to provide subsidies but to guide communities towards self-reliance. He said the initiatives will strengthen families, boost confidence among women, and create better educational and employment opportunities for youth.

He further added that the Congress government is determined to ensure equal opportunities for all and will continue to roll out innovative programs under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The launch event was attended by Minority Finance Corporation Chairman Obedulla Kotwal, Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Hussaini, Grandhalaya Chairman Dr. Riaz,  TGMFC VC & MD Kanthi Wesley IAS, Shafiullah IFS and other senior officials.
