BJP National Vice President and Mahabubnagar MP D.K. Aruna addressed voters ahead of the second phase of Telangana's gram panchayat elections, scheduled for December 14. Highlighting the completion of the first phase, she called on villagers to prioritize development by electing accessible and approachable sarpanch candidates. She accused previous Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) governments of allocating zero funds to village panchayats.

She specifically targeted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, recalling his promise as PCC chief to clear pending sarpanch bills, which remains unfulfilled despite Congress coming to power. MP DK Aruna highlighted central government contributions to rural development, noting that many village works, including CC roads, are funded through schemes like NREGS and other Union initiatives. She claimed that in every major scheme, 60% of funds come from the Centre, yet some are being diverted.

Praising the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Aruna accused the state government of rebranding central-funded houses as "Indiramma houses" to mislead voters into believing they are conditional on Congress support. She clarified that these are fully funded by the Modi government and not named after any individual leader.MP DK Aruna further criticized the Congress government's unfulfilled promises, including Rs 2,500 monthly assistance to women (now owing ₹60,000 per woman over two years), one tola of gold under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, and Rs 15,000 farmer support under Rythu Bharosa, which was reduced to Rs 12,000.

In a strong appeal, the MP promised that if BJP-supported candidates are elected as sarpanches and ward members, she would allocate Rs 10 lakhs from her MP funds for each village's development. "Stand with the Modi government, which is committed to village development," she said, urging voters to reject money-driven candidates and choose those dedicated to genuine progress. Although officially non-partisan, parties like BJP, Congress, and BRS are actively backing candidates in the rural polls.
