DEO reviews SIR drive in Sanath Nagar

Hyderabad District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan inspected polling centres in Sanath Nagar Assembly constituency as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process. The DEO visited polling stations No. 139, 146, 160, 161, 162 and 164 located at Shivabagh Colony and Dasaram Basti Huts to review the progress of the voter list revision exercise.

During the inspection, Karnan reviewed the collection of Enumeration Forms and the digitisation process. He interacted with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and election officials, directing them to ensure timely collection of forms, accurate data entry and compliance with Election Commission of India guidelines. He instructed officials to resolve issues immediately and ensure preparation of error-free electoral rolls. The DEO also spoke with residents and encouraged eligible voters to participate actively in SIR-2026 by submitting properly filled Enumeration Forms to BLOs. Officials said the revision exercise is aimed at preparing accurate and comprehensive voter lists while ensuring transparency in the electoral process.
