Director Sanjeev Megoti to return to Kannada movies with ‘On Duty’

Metro India News | Hyderabad : Director Sanjeev Megoti, known for crime, action and thriller-based stories is all set to make his comeback to Kannada cinema with a new project titled ‘On Duty’. The upcoming movie will feature popular Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra as the protagonist. Vijay Raghavendra belongs to the illustrious family of Kannada cinema legend Dr. Rajkumar. His recent film ‘Second Case of Seetharam’ is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and has reportedly received a positive response from audience.

Sanjeev Megoti’s recently released Telugu film ‘Police Complaint’, starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Naveen Chandra in key roles, received a good response during its theatrical run and is also continuing to attract attention on Amazon Prime Video. After a gap of nearly 15 years, Sanjeev Megoti is returning to Kannada cinema as a director. For his comeback, he is said to be working on a completely new story set against a crime and action backdrop, with an emphasis on an unconventional screenplay and distinctive narrative. The film is expected to feature several other prominent actors and technicians. The makers are likely to officially announce further details, including the production house, complete cast, technical crew and other details, in the coming days.
