Dr. Markandeyulu receives “Vanasakha Award” on World Nature Conservation Day

On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day(28th July), noted environmentalist Dr. V. Markandeyulu was honored with the “Vanasakha Award” by the Governor of Telangana, Shiv Prathap Shukla, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development. The Governor appreciated Dr. Markandeyulu’s relentless efforts over the past two decades in promoting environmental conservation, large-scale tree plantation, and creating public awareness on protecting nature.

The Governor also congratulated the members of the ECG Foundation Green Army for their dedicated service in safeguarding nature. Dr. V. Markandeyulu emphasized that protecting nature and the environment is the responsibility of every citizen. He stated that a pollution-free environment is the foundation of a healthy society and appealed to everyone to actively participate in preserving nature from the growing threats of environmental pollution.

Dr. Markandeyulu dedicated the honor to the ECG Foundation Green Army, whose unwavering support and collective commitment have been instrumental in advancing the mission of environmental conservation.
