Everyone’s responsibility to eradicate polio: Collector

District Collector Sneha Shabarish said on Sunday that it was the collective responsibility of one and all to achieve a polio free society. The Collector was the Chief Guest at the pulse polio event conducted by district health officer Dr. Ravi Rathod at government hospital under the auspices the district health department. 

The program of giving polio drops to children below the age of 5 was launched. She also informed the people that the government employees would administer the polio doses on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in all panchayaths and tandas in the district.

She advised Telangana pulse polio observer Dr. John Babu to visit the Salar Tanda polio centre in the town and ensure that 100% dose administration is done. Dr. Ravi Rathod informed that polio drops were administered at 469 centres across the district and drops were administered to 73500 kids out of the enrolled 76000 ones i.e. 96%
