Former Minister Dr. V. Srinivas Goud demanded on Thursday that the state government immediately resolve the issues faced by 17,000 NHM employees, including doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, and ANMs working across the state. He expressed his concern over the government's failure to recognize the services of NHM employees, who risked their lives to serve people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Srinivas Goud expressed strong anger over the reduction in doctors' salaries from Rs 45,000 to Rs 37,000, stating that salaries should have been increased rather than reduced. He said it was unjust to dismiss employees who had been working for decades and deny them retirement benefits.
The NHM employees placed three key demands before the government-Regularize all 17,000 NHM employees immediately, obtain the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report and implement its recommendations without delay and issue health cards to all employees. Dr. Srinivas Goud assured the employees that the BRS party would stand firmly by their side and support their demands.
