Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI’s) flagship healthcare conference, FICCI HEAL 2025, kicked off on Thursday in New Delhi, marking 25 years of the FICCI Health Services Committee.

The theme, ‘CARE@25: Defining Moments in Healthcare,’ celebrates India’s healthcare transformation and envisions the path to Viksit Bharat 2047.

Over 400 delegates and 80 plus speakers gathered for the two-day event, including key policymakers, healthcare leaders, and global experts. In his keynote address, Varun Khanna, Chair of FICCI HEAL 2025, emphasized India's healthcare evolution, from limited private healthcare to a system where nearly 80% of hospital beds are privately owned.

Reflecting on the past, Khanna praised India’s progress in access and affordability. He acknowledged the country’s growing medical workforce, with over 1.4 million doctors, as a key strength. Looking ahead, he stressed the need for innovation, accountability, and data-driven care to meet future challenges.

‘India must rebuild trust between patients and providers, ensuring quality care through measurable outcomes,’ Khanna said.
