The Telangana government has announced that the first installment of funds under the Rythu Bharosa scheme will be released on March 22, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy personally overseeing the disbursement from Narmetta in Siddipet district.

In a recent high-level meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao, and senior officials, the Chief Minister reviewed preparations for the transfer. The initial tranche involves Rs 3,590 crore, to be directly deposited into the bank accounts of approximately 70 lakh farmers owning up to one acre of land. This prioritizes support for small and marginal farmers during the current agricultural season.

The scheme's second installment of Rs 2,650 crore is scheduled for release 20 days after the first, followed by the third and final installment by the end of April. In total, the government will disburse Rs 9,000 crore across the three phases, providing crucial financial assistance to farmers statewide. The Rythu Bharosa scheme aims to offer direct benefit transfers to help cover input costs, reduce dependency on loans, and bolster agricultural productivity.

The announcement comes amid ongoing discussions on farmer welfare, with recent reports indicating phased releases due to fund mobilization efforts, including borrowings. The government has emphasized timely execution to support the farming community, which forms the backbone of Telangana's economy.

In a parallel development highlighting the administration's focus on inclusive governance, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in a state-hosted Iftar party for the Muslim community in Hyderabad today, coinciding with the holy month of Ramzan. Addressing the gathering, the CM underscored that the People's Government places top priority on the welfare and development of Muslims in Telangana. Revanth Reddy described Ramzan as a month of spiritual purification and expressed delight in the government hosting the Iftar for fasting brothers and sisters. He called for fostering brotherhood and communal harmony, stressing that unity among all religions is essential for India's progress. The CM cautioned against certain political forces conspiring to create communal wedges and sow discord, warning that such attempts undermine collective development.

To illustrate the government's commitment, Revanth Reddy highlighted key appointments and recognitions for the Muslim community. These include Mohammad Azharuddin as a Cabinet Minister, senior leader Shabbir Ali as a government advisor, and corporation positions for eight minority leaders. He also noted the conferment of a DSP post on Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj and a Rs 2 crore reward to world boxing champion Nikhat Zareen in recognition of their achievements.

The Chief Minister pointed out substantial fund allocations for Muslim minorities in various government initiatives. He recalled the 4 percent reservation for minorities during the YSR regime in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, which facilitated access to education and employment. "This is your government, and I am your brother," Revanth Reddy asserted, seeking the community's blessings to propel Telangana to the number one position in the country.
