The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) on Thursday launched an eight-day Certificate Course on GST at Federation House, with over 60 participants from industry, finance, taxation and compliance sectors enrolling for the programme.
The course was inaugurated by S. Jaya Kameswari, Additional Commissioner, Telangana State GST, who stressed the need for continuous learning as GST laws continue to evolve. She said the role of GST officials extends beyond tax collection to ensuring ease of compliance and encouraged professionals to stay updated with regulatory changes. FTCCI President Ravi Kumar said GST has become an integral part of India's tax system over the past nine years, making continuous learning essential. Indirect Taxes Committee Chairman Irshad Ahmad described the programme as one of the most comprehensive GST certification courses offered by an industry body in Telangana. The course will conclude on July 31, with sessions led by industry experts covering GST law, compliance and emerging developments.
