The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner K Ilambarithi has directed officials to prioritize and swiftly resolve complaints received through Prajavani. 

During the Prajavani program held at the GHMC head office on Monday, the Commissioner, along with Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Sobhan Reddy, received complaints from citizens seeking solutions to various issues.

A total of 130 complaints were received across GHMC. 48 complaints were received at the GHMC head office, including 29 for the Town Planning Department, 9 for the Tax Department, 3 for CE Maintenance, and 2 each for Finance, Health, and Land Acquisition. Housing and Veterinary Departments received one complaint each.

Across the six GHMC zones, a total of 82 complaints were received: 35 in Kukatpally Zone, 18 in Secunderabad Zone, 9 in Serilingampally Zone, 8 in Charminar Zone, 11 in LB Nagar Zone, and 1 in Khairatabad Zone.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of addressing complaints related to the Town Planning Department by conducting field inspections and issuing notices for illegal constructions. 

He instructed Town Planning officials to submit reports on the actions taken so far and appointed a special Additional CCP to oversee the resolution of these issues. 

The Commissioner warned that officials neglecting field-level problem-solving would face disciplinary action.

Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Sobhan Reddy urged officials to promptly review and resolve complaints received through Prajavani, stressing the need for special attention to public grievances.

Three complaints were received through the Prajavani phone-in program and were forwarded to the respective departments for immediate resolution.

Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Subhadra Devi, Nalini Padmavathi, Pankaj, Geetha Radhika, Saroj, Satyanarayana, Raghu Prasad, Yadagiri Rao attended the meeting along with others.
