The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is pushing forward a citywide road safety initiative, focusing on repairing potholes, maintaining catch pits, replacing covers, and restoring central medians. The drive is being executed in mission mode to ensure safer and smoother travel across Hyderabad.
As of Thursday, October 09, a total of 13,738 potholes have been repaired. While 13,372 were completed by Thursday, an additional 366 potholes were fixed in a single day. The GHMC engineering department is continuing efforts to fill the remaining potholes in the coming week. Commissioner R.V. Karnan is actively monitoring the progress, providing guidance to teams for timely completion of the repairs. Officials highlighted that the coordinated approach across departments is aimed at enhancing road safety and minimizing hazards for motorists and pedestrians alike.
The ongoing drive has already improved road conditions, ensuring safer commuting and smoother traffic flow throughout the city. GHMC authorities remain committed to completing the remaining work swiftly.
