Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT and Electronics, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to hold regular teacher recruitment drives through DSC. He announced that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be conducted in November 2025, followed by the DSC notification in January 2026 and the DSC and Special DSC examinations in March 2026.
Chairing a review meeting with officials from school, intermediate and higher education departments in Amaravati, Lokesh directed departments to ensure that newly recruited teachers join schools at the start of the next academic year. “All aspirants should prepare for TET and DSC. We will complete the entire process on time,” he said.
The minister instructed officials to complete Class 10 syllabus by December and implement a 100-day academic plan to improve results. He emphasised the effective implementation of curriculum reforms for Classes 1 to 5. Plans are also underway to operationalise 11 newly sanctioned Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools across the state. In a move to enhance teaching quality, 78 best teachers will be sent to Singapore to study international education standards.
The minister also ordered the implementation of the Kadapa Smart Kitchen model for mid-day meals in all districts, strengthening of computer labs in high schools, and preparations for upcoming intermediate exams.
