Minister for IT&Industry Sridhar Babu said on Monday it the government’s aim to fulfill the desire of every poor person in the state of owning a house. Along with District Collector Rahul Sharma, Minister Sridhar Babu distributed approval documents to second-phase beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme at BLN Garden in the Kataram mandal headquarters.

The event was held as part of the state government's 'Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika' 99-day action plan. Beneficiaries from four mandals — Kataram, Malhar, Mahadevpur, and Mahamutharam — received the documents.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu said the government's primary objective is to turn the dream of a own house into reality for the poor. He noted that a large number of beneficiaries from the four mandals were being provided with approvals on this day. The minister stressed that the selection of beneficiaries is being carried out with complete transparency and urged people not to trust middlemen or agents who might exploit them. He instructed the approved beneficiaries to complete the construction of their houses within 45 days.

Minister Sridhar Babu pointed to the implementation of the six guarantees, including free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, ration cards, fine rice and Indiramma houses for eligible beneficiaries. The minister further stated that the government is supplying free electricity to meet the agricultural needs of farmers.  He added that interest-free loans amounting to Rs 20,000 crore have been provided to women in the past year. He also revealed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is considering measures to empower women by making them operators of buses.

District Collector Rahul Sharma emphasized that beneficiaries who have received the Indiramma house approvals must complete construction within 45 days. He said financial assistance would be credited to the beneficiaries' accounts in three installments.  The collector highlighted that the entire beneficiary selection process is conducted with full transparency using AI technology for a 360-degree verification.

He informed that the government has made arrangements for beneficiaries, particularly women, to avail loans through self-help groups to complete house construction and urged them to make the best use of this opportunity.
