The coalition government is placing a high priority on worker welfare and safety measures in factories, stated Vasamshetti Subhash, Minister for Labour, Factories, Boilers, and Medical Insurance Services. The Minister made these remarks during a review meeting with officials from the Factories and Boilers departments held at his office in the state secretariat on Friday.
During the meeting, the Minister directed officials to compile a list of officers who have been working in the same location for several years, as well as those facing corruption allegations. He assured that steps would be taken to transfer them as soon as possible. Emphasizing the importance of both factory management and workers, he said they are like “two eyes” to the state government. He instructed officials to ensure the proper implementation of safety regulations in factories.
Minister Subhash issued a stern warning that strict action would be taken against officials found to be negligent in their inspections. He announced that review meetings would be conducted every three months to monitor progress. The meeting was attended by Director of Factories D. Chandrasekhar Varma, Director of Boilers Umamaheswara Rao, and other district and regional level officials.
