Governor of Andhra Pradesh S. Abdul Nazeer, who is also Hon. President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Andhra Pradesh State Branch, has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new State Branch headquarters office building at Gandhinagar here on Monday.
The office of the Indian Red Cross Society, Andhra Pradesh State Branch was shifted from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in 2019, after the State bifurcation and it has been functioning from the NTR District Branch office premises since then. The proposed new headquarters office building is being constructed with an estimated project cost of Rs.4 crores, in an area of 17,000sft consisting of stilt plus five floors.
Dr. M. Hari Jawaharlal, Secretary to Governor, Dr. G. Lakshmisha, Collector, NTR District, Sri S.V. Raja Sekhara Babu, Vijayawada Police Commissioner, Sri Dhyana Chandra H M, Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner, Sri Y.D. Ramarao, Chairman, Sri A.K. Parida, General Secretary and CEO, Sri P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Vice-Chairman, Sri P. Ramachandra Raju, Treasurer of IRCS Andhra Pradesh State Branch were also present on the occasion.
