TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud has urged leaders from the BJP and BRS to collaborate with the Congress party in advocating for a nationwide caste census by the Union government.
While addressing the Legislative Council on Monday, Mahesh Kumar Goud described the introduction of the BC Reservation Bill as a significant milestone, asserting that true social justice for marginalised and disadvantaged groups can only be achieved through the efforts of the Congress party.
He emphasised, "The BC community will hold the BRS and BJP accountable if they refuse to support the Congress in bringing forth this pivotal BC Bill. If BJP leaders genuinely wish to advocate for the rights of BCs, they must persuade their party leadership to endorse this initiative at the national level."
Mahesh Kumar Goud also highlighted that the Congress government is dedicated to ensuring 42 percent reservation for BCs in local body elections, as well as in education and employment, to fulfill their promise of justice for these communities.
