The Governor of Telangana Shiv Pratap Shukla released the book "Footprints in the Forests - Memoirs of a Forester" written by Paresh Kumar Sharma, Retd IFS officer & former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of the Forest Force of Telangana, in the Lok Bhawan on Thursday. Supriya Bhale Rao of SRAS Publish, Dr. Manoranjan Bhanja, Retired IFS officer and Neha Vyas, Psychology Counselor were also present during the book release. Paresh Kumar Sharma explained to the Governor that he wanted to share his experiences so that the serving as well as new entrants to the Service could benefit from his learnings.
He emphasized that this book will benefit not only foresters but all the civil servants, nature lovers and students aspiring to join civil services. He requested the Governor to impress upon the policy makers to give proper attention to the Nature and Forests keeping in view the National Forest Policy and India's commitments to the Climate Change treaties and increase budgetary allocation to this sector so that future generations do not suffer from the vagaries of weather and struggle fresh air and clean water.
