Hard Rock International has terminated its franchise agreements with JSM Corporation Pvt Ltd, leading to the closure of Hard Rock Cafe outlets across 10 major locations in India, including Hyderabad.

The Florida-based hospitality company announced on Monday that it had formally ended its agreements with JSM Corporation and its related entities, which previously held the rights to operate all Hard Rock Cafes and Rock Shops in the country. Following the termination of the partnership, the outlets run by the franchise partner have ceased operations.

The closures affect several prominent locations including Bengaluru, Bengaluru International Airport, Whitefield, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Hitech City in Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi and Pune. These outlets were part of the popular international chain known for its music-themed restaurants, live performances and collection of rock-and-roll memorabilia.

In an official statement, Hard Rock International confirmed that the termination covers the operation of all Hard Rock Cafes and Rock Shops managed by JSM Corporation in India. However, the company clarified that the Hard Rock Hotel in Goa will continue to operate as usual since it is managed by a different operator and is not linked to the terminated agreement.

The company did not disclose the specific reasons behind ending the franchise arrangement, leaving uncertainty about whether the brand will return with new partners in the Indian market.

Founded in 1971, Hard Rock Cafe has grown into a globally recognised hospitality and entertainment brand. The chain operates restaurants, hotels, casinos and retail outlets in more than 70 countries.
