Contrary to reports, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is not based on a folk hero but is a fictional period drama rooted in Sanatana Dharma. After Jyothi Krishna took over direction, the story underwent a major revamp, blending mythology with fiction while preserving its essence.
The film presents Pawan Kalyan as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva - ‘Hari’ (Vishnu) and ‘Hara’ (Shiva) - symbolizing a protector of Dharma. Iconic symbols like the eagle (Garuda) and the damaru (associated with Shiva) emphasize this duality. Directed by A M Jyothi Krishna and creatively guided by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film is in its final stages of post-production. Music by M M Keeravani has already struck a chord with fans, with four hit tracks released.
The film features an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal, with visuals by Gnana Shekar V S and Manoj Paramahamsa, and editing by K L Praveen. Presented by A M Rathnam and produced by A Dayakar Rao under Mega Surya Production, Hari Hara Veera Mallu releases worldwide on July 24.
