Former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for visiting Delhi 42 times, but achieving nothing for Telangana State from Delhi.

Harish Rao also said the State government was playing with the lives of the employment guarantee workers by not paying their wages for four months. He accused the State government and the Central government of jointly weakening the employment guarantee scheme. He said it was regrettable that the Central government was reducing the MGNREGS (NREGA) workdays by half even though it is sanctioned to the State.

“In 2024-25, Rs 12.22 crore workdays were sanctioned, but this year it was only Rs 6.5 crore workdays,” he alleged. He said even if the Congress and BJP have eight MPs each in Telangana, it would be of no use. He demanded that the Central government immediately increase the working days under the scheme. Harish Rao asked the State government to immediately pay four months' wages.
