Three months ago, the state medical and health department sent a midwifery training program and its results to the international institute.
The International Confederation of Midwives (ICMW) has examined 6,188 samples from around the world and selected it as the best practice based on the results of the state's medical and health department's midwives training program. Minister of Health and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav appreciated the initiative of the officials.
The state Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, in collaboration with UNICEF and Fernandez Foundation, is conducting a special midwifery training program for selected nurses on natural births and precautions. It operates several centers for this purpose. The first batch of training has been completed and some are currently undergoing training.
During the training program, the staff nurses are being briefed about the procedures to be followed. Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Veerapandian said that due to this, natural births have increased. The Netherlands company has analyzed these and selected them under the best practice.
