In a proactive step to safeguard the lives of vulnerable citizens, Miyapur police conducted a preventive drive to protect homeless people sleeping on footpaths. The move comes after officers observed the risk posed by vehicles traveling at high speeds late at night, which could lead to serious accidents involving those living on streets.

Under the supervision of Inspector Shivaprasad, Miyapur police personnel identified 22 homeless individuals sleeping on footpaths early in the morning. Prioritizing their safety and welfare, the officers coordinated with Abdullahpur MET Police Station and arranged to transfer the individuals to the Alleti Atm World Ashram. The ashram will provide temporary shelter, food, and essential care for those accommodated.

The preventive initiative reflects the police department’s commitment not only to law and order but also to human welfare. By taking steps before accidents occur, the Miyapur police aimed to avert potential tragedies and ensure the safety of society’s most marginalized members.

Local residents, commuters, and citizens have lauded the efforts of Inspector Shivaprasad and his team for demonstrating responsible policing with a humane approach. This drive sets an example of how law enforcement can actively protect lives through foresight and compassionate action, beyond the routine scope of policing.
