Metro India News | Hyderabad : Young minds explored the possibilities of space science through hands-on innovation as The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur (HPSR), played hosted to RISE 2026 – Rocket Innovation for School Excellence, in collaboration with SpaceAdhyaan, an ISRO-registered Space Tutor, and the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of ISRO.
Organised as part of World Space Week 2026, the event brought together 84 students from five schools, who presented their ideas in the Working Model and Display Model categories. Their rocket and space models reflected scientific understanding, creativity and an interest in space exploration. Students from other schools also visited the exhibition to view the projects and engage with the exhibits.
Under the theme “Ideas | Innovation | Igniting Tomorrow – Explore, Learn, Innovate, Lead,” RISE 2026 aimed to take scientific learning beyond classroom theory and encourage students to experiment with ideas.
Ahead of the event, SpaceAdhyaan conducted competitions to promote scientific expression. Students of Class 6 and above participated in essay and slogan writing competitions on “Rockets & Satellites”, while those in Classes 4 and 5 took part in a drawing competition on “Rocket & Satellite Models”.
Dr. R. Srinivas, Head of the Student & Public Outreach Division, NRSC-ISRO, and Sunil Kumar Jangam, Regional Officer, CBSE, Hyderabad, attended the programme. Dr. Srinivas urged students to turn curiosity into capability and pursue scientific exploration. Jangam appreciated the school’s emphasis on experiential learning, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The programme was led by Padmasri Naidu, Director, SpaceAdhyaan, and Dr. Narsimha Reddy, Principal, HPS Ramanthapur.
Emphasising practical education, Reddy said the school sought to nurture creativity, scientific temperament and the confidence to explore emerging technologies. “After all, science turns curiosity into capability,” he remarked.
Through RISE 2026, HPS Ramanthapur reaffirmed its commitment to developing confident, innovative learners equipped to explore future scientific frontiers.
