Hyd dentist represents India at Kosovo

Metro India News | Hyderabad : Dr. Vikas Gowd, a Hyderabad-based prosthodontist, aesthetic dentist and implant specialist, represented India as an invited plenary speaker at the XI National Congress of Dentistry with International Participation, held on October 9–10, 2026, at the Emerald Hotel in Pristina, Kosovo. The international congress brought together dental professionals, researchers and academics to discuss advances in dentistry and improved patient care.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Health Minister Dr. Arben Vitia attended the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Gowd presented a paper titled “Immediate Implant Placement and Loading: A Decade of Clinical Experience in the Aesthetic Zone, Posterior Regions and Full-Mouth Implant-Prosthetic Rehabilitation.” His presentation highlighted techniques that can help eligible patients receive provisional fixed teeth sooner following tooth extraction.

Advances in implant technology, surgical planning and bone biology have made immediate or early tooth replacement possible in carefully selected cases. However, suitability depends on bone quality, implant stability and individual clinical conditions.
