Hyderabad Mayor inaugurates animal crematorium

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi inaugurated an animal crematorium constructed by Raaga Foundation under CSR funding apart from other beautified junctions in the city here on Tuesday. Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi too was present at the projects in Serilingampally Circle.

Additionally, beautification works at JRC Junction were launched, which include sculptures, fountains, and cascades. Similar works were inaugurated at Biodiversity Junction.

The Mayor also launched street furniture installation and decoration works from Roda Mistry College to the Telangana State Election Commission Office. Further, rotary beautification works, including sculptures and fountains, were inaugurated at Gachibowli Stadium. At Khajaguda Junction, beautification works featuring sculptures, fountains, and lighting were also launched.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Vijayalakshmi revealed that a total of 195 beautification works are being undertaken at an estimated cost of ₹125 crore. Of these, 28 works have been completed, while the remaining 167 are in various stages of progress. She emphasized that efforts are being made to complete the pending works at a faster pace.

The Mayor highlighted that, under the Hyderabad Rising initiative, the state government is working on improving urban infrastructure and transportation facilities. She added that the government has allocated approximately ₹7,000 crore to transform Hyderabad into an international city.

Furthermore, the Mayor stated that the government is striving to empower women by making one crore women belonging to self-help groups into millionaires, demonstrating its commitment to inclusive development.

The event was attended by Zonal Commissioner Upender Reddy, SE Shankar Naik, Corporators Ragam Nagender Yadav, Gangadhar, Hameed Patel, Uppalapati Srikanth, and other officials.
