The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, Shamshabad Zone Team, arrested a dairy farm operator for allegedly procuring and selling restricted Oxytocin injections illegally in Ranga Reddy district. Police seized 173 Oxytocin injection bottles worth around Rs.50,000 during the operation.
The arrested accused was identified as Attheni Krishna, 45, a resident of Mankhal village in Tukkuguda mandal. According to police, he had been running a dairy farm and a cattle feed shop named “Srikrishna Cattle Feed” for several years.
Investigators said Krishna allegedly came into contact with an injection supplier, identified as Khaled Ali alias Chatru Singh, around five years ago. The supplier reportedly sourced restricted Oxytocin injections from Gujarat and sold them cheaply to Krishna, who later sold them to dairy farmers at higher prices.
Police said the injections were being used illegally to increase milk production in buffaloes. Another accused, identified as Suresh of Tukkuguda, is also absconding. The accused and seized stock were handed over to Pahadishareef police for further investigation.
