National Award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh, known for her performance in films such as Mahanati and Dorothy, says she was keen to explore stories in Hindi cinema but wanted things to fall into place naturally.
Having established herself as one of South cinema’s most formidable actors, Suresh has tasted wide acclaim and commercial success from films like Geethaanjali, Idhu Enna Maayam, Saani Kaayidham & Dasara, among others.
The actor made her Hindi film debut in 2024 with the Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John. She is currently awaiting the release of her Hindi OTT series, Akka, which will debut on OTT on October 30.
“I definitely wanted to enter Hindi at some point, and it happened eventually. So, this (Akka) was the start, and then in between came Baby John, and then after that, I did a movie with RajKummar Rao, it is called Raftaar. It should be released sometime soon,” Suresh told PTI.
“I’m not in a race. It’s not like, ‘I need to do a number of films’; I’m doing what I like. And eventually this happened. This is not something I was running towards. It’s something which fell in place. And now I (will) see how I can take it forward.”
