Inter student Siddhu builds low-cost battery-powered bicycle

Three hours of battery charge is enough to cover 80 kilometers

Rajapu Siddhu, an Intermediate student from Vizianagaram has invented a battery-powered bicycle. Siddhu, who hails from Jadavari Kothavalasa village, had built the electric bicycle himself to travel long distances to college with minimal cost. His innovation, requiring only three hours of battery charging for a range of up to 80 kilometers, has already gone viral online for its practicality and environmental consciousness.

Moved by Siddhu’s creativity and determination, the Deputy CM invited him to the camp office in Mangalagiri, after learning about the invention through social media platforms, congratulated Rajapu Siddhu.

During their meeting, Pawan Kalyan personally inspected the bicycle and even took it for a ride, visibly impressed with Siddhu’s ingenuity. He also reviewed Siddhu’s brochure for another innovative idea, a ‘Grocery Guru’ WhatsApp service and praised the young inventor’s proactive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

In recognition of Siddhu’s exceptional talent and to further encourage his innovations, the Deputy CM announced a cash incentive of Rs.1 lakh. As a symbolic gesture of appreciation, Pawan Kalyan offered Siddhu a ride on his own invention, pedaling the bicycle himself with the young student seated on it.

“This kind of innovation from rural youth reflects the bright future of Andhra Pradesh,” said Pawan Kalyan. “Siddhu’s ideas are not only practical but also driven by necessity and sustainability. The government will continue to support such minds who are determined to solve real-world problems with creativity and grit.”
