Interstate ganja transporters arrested, 25kgs of ganja seized

Commissioner’s Taskforce, South-East Zone team along with the staff of Bandlaguda PS conducted a joint operation and arrested three interstate ganja transporters and seized 25.6kgs of dry ganja. Accused identified as Mohammad Shameerulla Baig (35), Bodugu Rajesh (26), and Sonkavalli Naresh (29), all are the residents of Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. 

Police teams on Friday, intercepted white color Wagon R (AP-39 SP-0138) at Bandlaguda X road and arrested interstate ganja transporters who are in possession of dry ganja. On interrogation, it is revealed that, the A-1 and A-2 are partners in the railway coach hotel business and have incurred heavy loss and unable to repay their debts and as such they along with the A-3 have decided to earn easy money by indulging in the illegal business of ganja purchase and sale. Police teams seized 25.6kgs of ganja worth Rs 3.90 lakh, Wagon R, net cash Rs 3,000, four cell phones and a laptop from arrested persons.
