■ 15% Subsidy on Yarn Purchases: To reduce production costs.
■ GST Reimbursement: Financial relief for handloom cooperative societies.
■ Free Electricity: Up to 200 units for handloom workers and 500 units for power loom workers.
■ 90% Subsidy on Modern Equipment & Machinery: To enhance productivity.
■ E-commerce Expansion: Handloom products are now available on Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, JioMart, and other platforms, with direct-to-home delivery via 20 APCO showrooms.

Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, S. Savitha, engaged with several domestic and international industrialists on Sunday at the ongoing Bharat Tex-2025 International Exhibition in New Delhi. The event, organized by the Central Government, aims to enhance market opportunities for handloom textiles while attracting investments in the sector.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering at the Indian Pavilion, emphasizing India’s commitment to strengthening the textile industry. Minister Savitha, in her interactions with industrialists, highlighted the initiatives taken by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for the growth of the handloom sector in Andhra Pradesh. She elaborated on the newly introduced textile policy and assured potential investors that the state offers a favorable environment for industries.
Minister Savitha underscored that Andhra Pradesh provides immediate approvals for setting up industries, incentives, land allocations, and necessary infrastructure support. She invited investors to explore opportunities in the state’s thriving handloom sector, emphasizing the availability of skilled manpower and a strong ecosystem for textile production.
“Andhra Pradesh is home to some of the finest silk and handloom fabrics in the world. Our government is committed to ensuring a robust marketplace for these products, both within the country and internationally,” she stated. She also revealed that multiple handloom exhibitions and expos are being organized across major Indian cities to promote state-produced textiles.
Before attending Bharat Tex-2025, Minister Savitha received a warm welcome at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi. Accompanying her at the event were State Handlooms & Textiles Commissioner Rekha Rani, APCO Managing Director Pavanamurthy, and other key officials.
