Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, has successfully performed over 300 kidney transplants in just 36 months, offering renewed hope to hundreds battling end-stage kidney failure.

The hospital hosted a special felicitation ceremony titled ‘Kidney Care Champions: 300 & Beyond’ to honour the medical teams, patients, and donors behind this milestone. Chief Guest Jishnu Dev Varma, Governor of Telangana, applauded the transplant champions and donors for their role in transforming lives.

Speaking at the event, Dr. G S Rao, MD, Yashoda Hospitals, said ‘Each transplant represents not only a clinical triumph but a new beginning. This milestone underscores our commitment to excellence and accessibility in renal care.’

Dr. Rajasekara Chakravarthi, Clinical Director, said ‘with over 2 lakh Indians requiring transplants annually, we must focus on prevention, early diagnosis, and improving donor availability,’ he said.

Key stats from the program include 33 ABO-incompatible transplants, 68 international patients, and 16 cadaver donations. Notably, 179 of the 300 plus donors were women.
