BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has declared that the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election would mark the political re-entry of BRS Chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and serve as the first step toward his return as Chief Minister of Telangana.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan before BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath filed her nomination papers, KTR said the by-election was not a contest between two individuals but a battle between “ten years of progress under KCR’s leadership and two years of chaos under Congress rule.” He asserted that a Congress defeat in Jubilee Hills would compel the ruling party to finally implement its own unfulfilled promises.

“If Congress loses here, it will have no option but to deliver on its assurances — ₹2,500 monthly support for women, clearing farmers’ dues, and providing employment to the youth,” KTR stated. He said that 1.67 crore women, lakhs of farmers, and unemployed youth across Telangana were looking at Jubilee Hills as a test of people’s will against Congress’s betrayal.

Highlighting the government’s failures, KTR said the Congress regime had halted Hyderabad’s growth, demolished poor families’ homes, shut down Basti Dawakhanas, and stopped free drinking water supply.

“People still remember that it was KCR’s government that built one lakh double-bedroom houses and ensured inclusive development. Congress hasn’t built even one house in Hyderabad,” he remarked.

KTR called on minorities, BCs, and Dalits to view the by-election as a chance to hold the Congress accountable for its broken promises and denial of representation. “This election will be the foundation for the resurgence of BRS under KCR’s leadership. The Pink Wave that transformed Telangana will rise again from Jubilee Hills,” he said.

Recalling the late Maganti Gopinath’s contribution to BRS’s growth, KTR said the party had fielded his wife, Sunitha Gopinath, to carry forward his legacy. He appealed to voters to support her, saying, “Every vote for Sunitha is a message to stop Congress’s arrogance and bring back governance that truly works for the people.”
