Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power in Telangana in 2028 and that party president K. Chandrashekar Rao would once again become Chief Minister. He asserted that the BRS is the only political party with a clear long term vision for Telangana's future.
Addressing Telangana Formation Day celebrations organised jointly by the Malaysia Telugu Association (MAITA) and the BRS NRI Malaysia Chapter in Kuala Lumpur, KTR said public opinion was steadily shifting in favour of the BRS and predicted that the party's pink flag would once again fly high in Telangana.
Launching a sharp attack on political opponents,
KTR accused certain leaders of spreading misinformation and attempting to undermine Telangana's achievements. He cautioned people against what he described as "political cobras" spreading poison against the State's development and progress.
Highlighting Telangana's transformation under KCR's leadership, KTR said the State had emerged as a national model in agriculture, irrigation, industrialisation, welfare and economic growth within a decade of its formation. Drawing comparisons with successful Asian economies such as Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, he said Telangana's growth story remains unmatched in India.
KTR said the BRS has already prepared a comprehensive 25 year roadmap for Telangana's future and that KCR's governance experience and proven leadership make him uniquely capable of implementing that vision. He stated that the next phase of development would focus on ensuring safe drinking water, strengthening public transport, creating future ready infrastructure and leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to drive economic growth.
Calling upon the global Telangana diaspora to actively contribute to the State's development, KTR urged NRIs to support Telangana through investments, expertise and knowledge sharing while remaining connected to their cultural roots.
He also praised overseas Telangana communities for preserving the State's culture and identity and highlighted the success of Telangana's palm oil expansion programme inspired by Malaysia's model. A large number of Telangana NRIs, BRS leaders and supporters attended the celebrations.
