Union Minster of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy visited Begumpet Railway Station on Saturday and reviewed the Phase – I redevelopment works as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). He was accompanied by Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other senior Railway officials. 

The Union Minister inspected the Phase – I works including the new station building with improved façade, platform surface improvements, 12 M wide Foot Over Bridge, escalators, lifts, booking counters, signages, waiting hall etc. 

Later, addressing the media personnel at the station, he stated that 90% of the Begumpet Station redevelopment works have been completed and that the station is being upgraded with an expenditure of Rs. 38 crores.
