State Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh said on Sunday that efforts will be made for the development of the famous Kotasattemma temple as an integral part of the prestigious Akhanda Godavari project. Minister Kandula Durgesh visited the temple situated at Thimmarajupalem village in Nidadavolu Rural mandal on the last Sunday of Ashadha month. Minister Durgesh was accorded a grand welcome by the temple authorities and Vedic scholars on the occasion. Minister Durgesh inspected the temple premises and surrounding areas of the temple and enquired about the facilities provided to the devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kandula Durgesh said that it was satisfying to see the Goddess giving blessings to the devotees in the decoration of “Goddess Sakambari”. He said the government has recognized the need for further development of the temple as the number of devotees is gradually increasing day by day.
In this context, he said, the Kotasattemma temple is being developed as an integral part of the “Akhanda Godavari” project. He mentioned that necessary infrastructure facilities such as development of the temple premises, modernization of the gopuram and additional accommodation facilities for the convenience of the devotees will be provided to improve spirituality.
