A new road built with funds from the Panchayat Raj Department between Kotappakonda and Kothapalem villages was inaugurated and made available to the public. On Thursday, he unveiled a plaque at the Shiva Stupa at the base of the hill after visiting the Kotpakonda Kshetra Darshan.

He then walked on the road and checked the quality. The 8 km long road has been constructed at a cost of Rs 3.9 crore. The road between Kotappakonda and Kothapalem will solve the travel difficulties of about one and a half lakh devotees coming to the Shivaratri festival. The difficulties faced by the farmers in the vicinity of Kothapalem village and the students going to Gonepudi school will be relieved. On the occasion of the inauguration of the road, the students of Gonepudi School met Mr. Pawan Kalyan and thanked him for providing the road facility for them.

On this occasion, Pawan Kalyan instructed the officials to prepare a plan to complete the construction of the Giri Pradakshana route at the earliest in view of the increasing number of devotees coming to Kotappakonda Giri Pradakshana. Later, Pawan Kalyan visited the Vanavihari Deer Park set up by the Forest Department on Kotappakonda Ghat Road. Pawan Kalyan enquired about the details of the tree species in the park and the benefits of them.
