Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K. T. Rama Rao on Thursday held discussions with Australia’s High Commissioner to India Philip Green and Australian Consul General for Karnataka and Telangana Hilary McGeachy who called on him at Nandinagar residence in Hyderabad.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Telangana and Australia across several strategic and mutually beneficial sectors. Discussions were held on expanding Australian investments in the Telugu states,
enhancing collaboration in technology driven industries, and building new partnerships in the field of education and innovation.
Drawing from his experience as the former Minister for Industries and Information Technology in Telangana, KTR shared insights on the rapid transformation of Hyderabad into a major global hub for technology, pharmaceuticals, innovation, and green energy. He highlighted Telangana’s progressive industrial ecosystem, investor friendly policies, and the state’s growing prominence in emerging sectors.
The discussions also explored opportunities for deeper cooperation in information technology, clean energy initiatives, research, skill development, and startup innovation. Both sides expressed optimism that stronger engagement between Telangana and Australia would open up greater international opportunities for local youth, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
KTR stated that the growing partnership between India and Australia has the potential to create significant economic and cultural benefits for both countries. He welcomed the continued engagement of Australian representatives with Telangana and emphasized the importance of building long term strategic collaborations in areas that contribute to economic growth, technological advancement, and people to people ties.
The Australian delegation appreciated the pace of development taking place in Hyderabad and expressed interest in exploring further cooperation with Telangana in key sectors of mutual interest.
