Demonstrating a mix of political outreach and personal intervention, Andhra Pradesh IT and Human Resources Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday extended strong assurances of support to the family of a deceased Telugu Desam Party (TDP) worker, reaffirming the party’s commitment to stand by its cadre in times of distress.
Lokesh invited the family members of M. Arjun, a party worker from Kurnool district who died last year in an electrical accident, to the TDP central office in Mangalagiri. During an emotional interaction, he met Arjun’s parents, Mastik Maddileti and Rani, along with his sister Komali, and conveyed his deep condolences over the untimely loss.
Engaging with the family at length, the minister enquired about their well-being and assured them that they would not be left to face hardship alone. “You must not lose courage under any circumstances. The party stands firmly with you,” he told them, in a message aimed at both comforting the bereaved family and reinforcing organisational solidarity.
Arjun, a resident of Munagalapadu village in Kurnool district, had died after suffering an electric shock in an accident near Nannur. Since then, his family has been grappling with emotional and financial distress. Upon learning of their situation, Lokesh decided to personally intervene and extend support.
In an assurance, Lokesh stated that he would take responsibility for the family’s welfare going forward. He paid attention to Arjun’s sister Komali’s education, promising to ensure that her studies continue without interruption. “Your family is now my responsibility. I will stand by you for life. Do not hesitate to reach out for any need,” he said.
The assurance visibly moved the family members, who expressed gratitude for timely support during a period of deep crisis. They acknowledged Lokesh’s gesture as one that provided both emotional reassurance and a sense of future security.
