Mahabubnagar tightens vigil ahead of Bakrid

Ahead of Bakrid celebrations, district authorities in Mahbubnagar have intensified security and surveillance measures to prevent illegal animal transportation and ensure peaceful festivities across the district.

District Collector Kushboo Gupta and Superintendent of Police D. Janaki jointly inspected a special checkpost set up near the Addakal tollgate. During the inspection, they directed officials from the police, revenue and animal husbandry departments to maintain round-the-clock monitoring and conduct thorough checks of suspicious vehicles transporting animals.

SP D. Janaki said strict surveillance is being maintained across the district to curb illegal transport and other unlawful activities during the festival season. She warned that strong action would be taken against violators and appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities and follow the law to ensure peaceful Bakrid celebrations.
