State agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has suggested the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) CMD Lalit Kumar Gupta to ensure the Cotton Kisan App is accessible round-the-clock, saying farmers were facing hardship because the platform opens only at 10 pm.

In a review with Agriculture director Gopi and CCI officials, Tummala discussed farmers’ and ginning millers’ concerns, including early opening of L1, L2, L3 mills, allowing purchase of cotton with 20 percent moisture, and revisiting the limit of 12 quintals per acre. He said the state government had already written to the Centre seeking action and instructed APC Secretary Surendra Mohan to pursue the issues in Delhi.

The minister said Telangana currently has 1.5 lakh metric tonnes of Urea in buffer stock, with allocations of two lakh metric tonnes each for this month and next. He directed the officials to speed up supply and curb illegal roadside sales of "Ad Blue", used in Urea production.

Tummala also asked for immediate submission of reports on crop damage caused by Cyclone Montha. Agriculture Director Gopi said photos of damaged crops were being uploaded on the Crop Booking App.
